International audienceThe aim here is to examine the paradox between the project of a training in critical history and the proposal of a "regular and progressive" learning by imitation of the teacher and by exercises. The teacher-led activity aims to reduce the uncertainty of the action (Bourdieu) to ensure success. On the other hand, restoring uncertainty allows students to see them in action, confronting themselves with the meaning that a story in history can have for them. In the analysis of an empirical/concrete historical writing situation, the author relies on a representation tool to interpret what students do, other than as the use of procedural knowledge disconnected from meaning.Le propos est ici de se pencher sur le paradoxe entr...
